Some weeks before the first snowfall, Canadians start reasoning, acting and living according to the season. They start living on âwinter mode.â
The winter wardrobe opens up with boots, gloves, toques, and parkas; winter tires get their places in vehicles, and people feel Christmas is around the next corner. Well, âbootsâ, âgloves,â âtoques,â âparka,â and all words in the winter dictionary are never used in warm countries, where most immigrants come from.
